Explanation of data being collected

  • Data gathered between May 27, 2005 and October 8, 2008 is currently available (1230 days)
  • Speeds are recorded on 2 sensors on opposite sides of the tower for each height
  • Speeds are displayed as 10 minute averages
  • The database can be queried to display specific ranges of velocity and wind direction
  • Wind direction is displayed in azimuth so that true north is at 0°, east at 90°, south at 180°, and west at 270°.
