Explanation of data being collected

  • Data gathered between April 18, 2005 and March 7, 2006 is currently available (323 days)
  • Speeds are recorded on 2 sensors on opposite sides of the tower for each height
  • Speeds are displayed in mph as 10 minute averages
  • Last recorded data was March 7, 2006 possibly due to lightning
  • A downloadable file is option # 4
  • The database can be queried to display specific ranges of velocity and wind direction
  • Wind direction is displayed in azimuth so that true north is at 0°, east at 90°, south at 180°, and west at 270°.
