Explanation of data being collected

  • Data gathered between August 17, 2005 and August 31, 2006 is currently available (379 days)
  • Velocity is recorded in mph at 50 meters (2 sensors), 30 meters, and 10 meters
  • Initial recordings are hour averages
  • The database can be queried to display specific ranges of velocity and wind direction
  • Wind direction is displayed in azimuth so that true north is at 0°, east at 90°, south at 180°, and west at 270°.
